Zii EGG Now Shipping!

Did you get your Zii EGG yet? The latest and greatest from Creative has begun shipping and several people have already gotten it. What are your first impressions? If you have any pictures or videos, please submit them in the forum!

    Hi,

    Zii Egg can come with android or plasma but how to get it with android preinstalled?
    Does plasma has a xterm emulator? Can make internet call via SIP like with maemo or android?
    What about skype? The video on skype is actually not supported on maemo and android. And plasma?

  • The Zii EGG comes with Plaszma OS on it. As we speak, ZiiLABS is preparing to release a software update that allows you to use Android. It's currently in the QA phase. It's unknown whether or not a consumer model will come with Android preinstalled, but the Plaszma OS is the default for the EGG.
    As previously mentioned, Android isn't out- yet. As far as I know, there are no apps for Plaszma that function as either a terminal program or calling app. But that should be remedied with Google Voice for Android.
